Tandoori Chicken Recipe - Learn How To Make This Wonderful Indian Dish
Food and wine are inexorably linked. Like fish and chips, shoes and socks and Little B and Aishwarya. There are some things in the creators' ensemble of wonder that are meant to be together. There is no denial to the fact that all sorts of Indian cuisine are dimensionally enhanced with the addition of perfect bottle of wine. So what exactly does constitute the perfect bottle of wine for food?
Although aimed at children's lunches, I have used recipes from this book in my personal chef business for clients who have wanted something simple chicken tikka masala from jar healthy for lunch. I have indeed been impressed with some of these recipes!
To wash down the parantha is the shikanji. Cool and refreshing this one makes for a great drink especially in this hot weather. North Indian dishes is not complete without chicken. The book starts with Nibbles and Dips (i.e. Cheesy Celery Stalks, Honey-Sesame Sausages, Pear & Ham Bundles, Mozzarella, Cherry Tomatoe & Basil Sticks), then moves on to Soups (Creamy Tomato & Lentil Soup, Green Giant Soup, Corn Chowder), Sandwiches & Wraps (Cream Cheese & Date Bagel, Cajun Salmon &Cucumber Roll, Smoked Salmon Spirals, tikka masala Naan), Salads (Greek Salad, Italian Flag Salad, Spicy Bulgar Salad with Nectarines, Sausage & Barley Salad), Savory Bites (Falafel, Tofu Bites, Simple Mini Pizzas, Spaghetti Frittata) and finishes with Sweet Treats & Bakes (Mango Fool, Winter Fruit Salad, Strawberry Crunch Cup).
For some kinds of cakes, you can use wine or sherry rather than butter and oil. It will make your cake lighter and will add some interesting flavor as well.
But back to the food. Our first lesson was to take slow cooker chicken tikka masala place on the banks of Fort Cochin's quaint harbour where Chinese fishermen fan out their nets like umbrellas to make their catch. It's here that you can buy fish fresh from the fishermen and have them cooked for you right by the sea, there and then - a delicious treat. Today it was our turn to try. This, it turned out was more skillful than we expected. The raw flame easily burnt the flesh if we weren't careful and overcooking left the normally juicy fish tough not tender. But we soon got the hang of it.
